George Zimmerman First Public Interview after Verdict - Translated

George Zimmerman gives his first Interview since his acquittal in July, 2012.  On February 26, 2012, George Zimmerman was assaulted on the grounds of his residence in Sanford, Florida by Trayvon Martin. During the assault, Martin, who had been in the market for a gun in the weeks prior to that night, spotted George's concealed weapon and told George he was going to kill him with it. George then pulled his gun and shot Martin once in the chest, killing him almost immediately.

For the most part, George recounts that night again in this interview with Univision.

  2. It is amazing how much we were lied to when this case first began. Lied to by media, the civil rights leaders, lawyers, and worst of all, the parents of Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman is in my prayers. God speed young man, do great things with your life, don't let this crazy world steal another moment of your joy.

  3. I had tears in my eyes when I read about George's statement about him believing the people who donated to his defense fund made a difference in the outcome of his case. It gave me a very warm feeling knowing I may have helped to make such a difference, small though it was. I donated a very small amount as I live on a very limited income, but wished I could have donated much more. It was a worthwhile cause because of the way he was being persecuted by the media, the political system, and the race baiters. I would do it again, although I hope we never see such a persecution in this country again.
