I find it an odd coincidence that Al Shaprton was in town both in Sanford, Florida for the Trayvon Martin case, and in Ferguson, Missouri, for Michael Brown case, when a white man in each city was attacked by hammer wielding black teens. One man died from his injuries, another almost died.
Ferguson Visit by Sharpton and hammer attack:
Visit November 30: The Rev. Al Sharpton took aim at St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch from the pulpit Sunday (March26), saying the fight for justice in the Michael Brown case is not over.
“You won the first round, Mr. Prosecutor, but don’t take your gloves off,” Sharpton said. “Justice will come to Ferguson.”
Sharpton made two appearances Sunday in the St. Louis area, the first at Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis, where Brown’s funeral was held three months ago. [link]

November Attack: Zemir Begic was a teenager when he and his family fled Bosnia in the aftermath of a bloody civil war. In America, he found work, friends and love before a pack of thugs beat him to death with hammers on a city street in St. Louis as his terrified fiancee watched early Sunday. [link]
According to police, Begic was in his vehicle when “several juveniles” approached his car and began damaging it. When Begic exited his vehicle the teenagers yelled and struck him with hammers.
Following the assault, the teenagers fled the scene on foot. A 15 African American male and 16-year-old Hispanic male were located a short-time later and placed in the custody of juvenile authorities. They have been charged with first degree murder under the juvenile system. [link]

Black Teens Beat Sanford Man 13 Times in Head With Hammer

A fifty year old white man is on life support after a near fatal beating. Police have arrested two black teens. The attack occurred near the community where the Trayvon Martin self-defense shooting took place.
The victim is from Winter Springs, which is 88% white. The victim was attacked in nearby Midway, which is 94% black. Both communities are within about a six-mile radius of Sanford.

According to an arrest report from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, a man called 911 on March 26 to report hearing a man screaming for help. The caller said he saw two men pulling a third man from a vehicle and beating him with a hammer. The two dragged the man into nearby woods and continued to attack him, according to the report. The two fled the scene in the man’s vehicle before deputies arrived. [link]
