Police find large amounts of marijuana in George Zimmerman's home


Police found large amounts of marijuana in the home of George Zimmerman on Saturday when answering a 911 call, according to a criminal complaint.


George  Zimmerman has been charged with manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Zimmerman called 911 about 1:30 p.m. Saturday to report his ex-wife passed out.

While at the house police reported a strong marijuana odor. Police later obtained a search warrant and found marijuana in various containers, along with three large dried marijuana plants and 31 live plants in various stages of growth.

More than a half pound of marijuana, plus seeds, growing equipment and paraphernalia were found

Zimmerman is out of custody on a $25,000 signature bond.
