Teleka Patirck's body found in Lake Charles

Teleka Patick - missing since October 2013
A body was found today floating in Lake Charles and it has been confirmed by the family to be that of Teleka Patrick.  At around 7:10 a.m., this Sunday, April 06, 2014, a fisherman called authorities to report something suspicious floating in the water of Lake Charles.  A female body dressed in dark clothing was recovered from the water.

Family Statement: "Our family was informed that a body was found that may be our daughter Teleka Patrick. We are waiting for official confirmation from the Kalamazoo Sheriff’s Department and have no comment at this time. Thank you for your continued prayers-we ask that you respect our privacy at this difficult time."

PORTER, Ind. (WOOD) — The body of missing Kalamazoo doctor Teleka Patrick has been located in a lake in northern Indiana, according to Patrick’s mother.Police have not yet officially identified the body pulled from Lake Charles near the town of Porter Sunday morning, according to a release from the Indiana Sate Police. However, Patrick’s mother confirmed to 24 Hour News 8 that it was Patrick’s body.

This lake was searched back in January, but it was too frozen over to search.  Sonar was used.

Map of where Teleka's car was found and areas around the lake that were searched.  Dogs followed her scent to the road - it looks to me like the lake is the opposite direction...why didn't the dogs pick up her scent to the lake?

Satellite Map and terrain photo...looks pretty rough.

Police say the areas around the lake had been searched in the past three weeks

Google Satellite of area where her car would have been - very dense trees and bushes

-The group also says hound dogs followed Teleka’s scent directly into the road which lead investigators to believe she was either being followed or was picked up by someone she did not know.
