Shayan Modarres, Esq. - The Shakedown Breakdown

UPDATE!! 7/20/2013 (see below)
Another shakedown going down in Sanford?  If so, Shayan Modarres, Esq. in charge of the hustle. It could be legit, you decide.
Samuel Fuller and Shayan Modarres, Esq.

A little background:  Shayan Modarres, Esq., is one of the attorneys representing Benjamin Crump, mostly in matters concerning State v. Zimmerman, and yet, Sanford Police Chief says "this has nothing to do with the Zimmerman case."(Video of SPD Chief of Police)

Here's the scoop.
Man falls face-first onto concrete after Sanford officers shoot him with Taser  SANFORD, Fla. — Two officers from the Sanford Police Department are under investigation after a man wound up in the hospital after being shot with a Taser during his arrest on Sunday.
Investigators said officers attempted to arrest 57-year-old Samuel Fuller for gambling in the streets, but he took off running.
Let's pause it for a moment.  He took off running, why?  Was he afraid of the Police?  Later you will see why this would probably be the best guess...
The officers shot Fuller with a Taser during his arrest, but they said he fell to the ground face-first and had to be hospitalized.
Wait for it.............
Attorney Shayan Modarres argues the injuries aren't consistent with a fall.
"Common sense will tell you that these injuries don't result from just falling on pavement," said Modarres. "This was an attack."
Fuller was bleeding so profusely that he had to go to intensive care, officials said.
"What am I going to run for?" said Fuller. "I ain't did nothing. I'm coming from the store."
Fuller has not been charged with any crime, but Sanford police expect to arrest him after he gets out of the hospital on charges that include resisting arrest, battery on an officer and carrying a concealed weapon. Officers said Fuller had a pair of brass knuckles on him.
If Mr. Fuller was riding his bike to the store, as he says he was in the video, why was he off the bike when he started running?  Mr. Fuller says he "ain't been in trouble in seven years".

Anyway, he was just coming from the barber shop.  He stopped at the grocery store for some Ox tail fixins.  He lives in Goldsboro and Modarres is doing an investigation to assess whether civil charges will be brought against the Sanford PD.

I tried to find a picture of Mr. Fuller without the bandages and all that came up in Google were these (there were actually more):

UPDATE 7/30/2013:  Shayan Modarres posted a picture on twitter telling his followers "I've been retained to represent Samuel Fuller, the man who was brutalized by Sanford PD this week. THIS MUST STOP."

The picture he posted to twitter, and the one the Orlando Sentinel is using in their ridiculous article was so small it was hard to make out the face. Blown up you can see it is obviously photoshopped.

Benjamin Crump, Esq., attorney for the Martin family, had better hope Modarres is better at handling his legal cases than he is at crafting a shakedown.
