No Injustice, No Peace

They never let a fact get in the way of a racial shakedown, Ben Jealous, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson

After the verdict of not guilty in the State v. Zimmerman trial, Amy Goodman of NPR interviewed Benjamin Jealous, the President of the National NAACP.  This is after all the evidence was presented in court and is now readily available online....

Amy Goodman: Welcome, Ben, to Democracy Now! What would it mean for the Justice Department to bring civil charges?
BEN JEALOUS: To bring criminal charges. We are actually looking for them to being criminal charges under the Matthew Shepard-James Byrd hate crime law.
You know, because we went through this kind of surreal trial where the judge blocked all discussion of racism, of racial profiling...
Well yes, race was addressed during the trial - when Rachel Jeantel revealed TRAYVON'S racist remarks in reference to George Zimmerman, "Creep ass Cracker", she told Don West, meant "caucasion". [LINK]
(Ben Jealous cont)...we haven’t focused in a long time, for instance, on witness number nine, who was George Zimmerman’s own cousin, who called the police just a few days later and said that that witness believed that their cousin, George, had done this out of racial motivation, racial hatred, if you will.
Witness #9 is ridiculous.  Listen to her interview.  The ONLY instance of racism she could site was a remark she claims Gladys Zimmerman made about Obama - allegedly saying she, Gladys, didn't like him because he is black and "I'm a racist".  The Zimmerman family are life-long Democrats and no one says they are racist.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And we haven’t talked much about those young boys who lived in his neighborhood, who felt like they were targeted by him because of their color. And so, there’s actually a lot here.
AARON MATÉ: Ben, what about Zimmerman’s phone calls in the years before the Trayvon incident? Do you think he showed a pattern of profiling?
BEN JEALOUS: Oh, yeah. Look, I mean, it’s pretty clear that he primarily called the cops about a young man of color that he was worried about.
Not at all true, see for yourself here.  There were only about four of the 40+ calls made between 2005 - 2012 that, when asked if the person was "black, white, or Hispanic", George answered, "black"...or "I think he's black (Trayvon).  In two of the calls he is describing the same black male with the same clothes on.  In another he is concerned for the welfare of a 7 year old little black boy walking alone in the street. There were also four calls about white males.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And when you put that together with the young men of color who lived in his own neighborhood who felt like he was stalking them and harassing them, you know, well, there you go. It seems that every time he was worried, there wasn’t something to be worried about.
The only young men of color that felt they were being harassed ended up in jail on burglary charges, one was Emmanuel Burgess. So it is not true that every time he worried there was not something to be worried about.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And the reality is that if an officer said, "Hey, I followed that young, innocent black kid, and I confronted him, and I taunted him, and then I—and then, you know, I was in plain clothes so he didn’t know I was an officer, and we tussled, and then I shot and killed him," we would say, you know—and if we said, "Why?" and he said, "Well, you know, because there had been a lot of break-ins in the neighborhood done by young black men, and he was a young black man,"
NONE of the above is based on facts except that there had been a lot of break-ins.  Never once did George Zimmerman confront or even get close to the people he called about.  Just a lot of hyperbole for the dumbed down Sharpton group and white guilt audience.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And we know that this boy was telling his friend, "This guy is creeping me out, I’m trying to get away from him,"
He actually told witness #8 that GZ was a Ni**er and a "creepy ass cracker".
(Ben Jealous cont.)...and the guy kept tracking, kept—you know, we know that he got out of the car and confronted him: "What are you doing around here?" And we know that he sought to engage him, even though a cop said, "Stay in your car."
Tracking?  That's new.  He was never told to stay in his car and he was not talking to a COP.  He did not confront Trayvon, even the star witness said Trayvon asked George "what are you following me for", which was part of the narrative.  Trayvon, according to George from the very first statement, asked George if he had a problem...and then punched George in the nose.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And then he pulled out a gun that he had intentionally selected because it had no safety, and he shot and killed him through the heart.
Really?  He had intentionally selected it?  He'd had the gun for a couple of years and the Keltec 9 M has no safety by virtue of it's design.  This was all part of expert witness testimony.
(Ben Jealous cont.) What we’re hearing, what we’re finding out about this jury is cause for concern. It appears that the five white jurors made up their mind, and the one juror of color tried to resist and ultimately went with them.
Pulled that one right out of his ample behind and I didn't see it coming.  I'm not sure how he would know this since it hasn't been brought out, as far as I know (correct me in comments if it has please), but then sometimes the scheme team has better sources.
(Ben Jealous cont.) And that’s why it’s so important that the justice system continue to look into this case and, hopefully, finally, file charges that will stick, because, no, we do not need George Zimmerman in any community where anybody’s child of any color lives, when he’s already killed one.

Thank you for admitting that the the Attorney General of these fine United States, Eric Holder is doing exactly what State Attorney Angela Corey did, throwing shit against the wall hoping something will stick.  Meanwhile George Zimmerman is confined and ruined due to lies that were thrown out there before, and the lies Ben Jealous is telling again.  What a corrupt bunch of thugs.

From the FBI's Hate Crime page:
The photo on the FBI's page is to incite anger and resentment under Obama's FBI
  • The FBI has forged partnerships nationally and locally with many civil rights organizations to establish rapport, share information, address concerns, and cooperate in solving problems. These groups include such organizations as the NAACP, the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League, the National Asian Pacific American Legal Consortium, the National Organization for Women, the Human Rights Campaign, and the National Disability Rights Network.
  • The FBI initiates a hate crime investigation when an allegation is received from a reliable source. Most complaints are received from the victim, a witness, or a third party. Many cases are also initiated by media reports, community group complaints, referrals from Department of Justice or U.S. Attorneys, and congressional inquiries.
